OPERA is a computerised wargame and simulation
system. It is a tool for wargame
simulation and other forms of training and simulations and
operations plan evaluation and analysis. Our system provides a
training environment with realistic battlefield information;
maintains current status report and provides after-action review to
exercise commanders and staff functions. |
|
OPERA
is not only designed to do commander/staff training but also
designed to provide functionalities for operation, plan evaluation
and analysis. Over 90% of battlefield environments are simulated in
a realistic manner, representing all elements of combat for
intangible factors (troop discipline, moral, degree of training,
etc.).
|
|
OPERA provides tools for doctrine training and combat procedure
proficiency, which leads to significant improvements over combat
power application skills. Training using OPERA requires
commanders/staff to make real-time decisions based on their
appreciation of the realistic, continually changing battlefield
situations presented by the system. The graphic user interface (GUI)
makes inputs and outputs readily comprehensible and easily within
reach. Audible alerts are generated when major events take place to
avoid the training audience missing any important situations. Ample
data are collected during exercise to empower a wide range of
analyses. This is to provide basis for the After Action Review (AAR)
activity.
